Setting Up Punishments and Suspensions

What is This?

The disciplinary system module. Leadership issues punishments via /punishment, and the bot:
  • tracks active punishments for each employee;
  • automatically escalates levels — assigning higher-tier roles as violations accumulate;
  • executes automation workflows, such as: “3 warnings → remove warnings and issue 1 reprimand”;
  • automatically removes punishments upon expiration and notifies the employee.
Suspensions are a dedicated sub-system: the employee loses access (assigned the suspension role) and has 48 hours to submit an explanatory statement.

Punishment Types

  1. Open /configure → navigate to the “Punishments” page.
  2. Click “Configure Punishments”.
  3. Click “Add Type” and enter a name — e.g. Warning, Reprimand, Severe Reprimand.
You can create up to 24 types. If a type has no levels configured, it can be issued without restrictions.

Escalation Levels

Each punishment type can have up to 25 levels. Each level is linked to a Discord role: the more active punishments an employee accumulates, the higher the level and the more restrictive the role.
  1. Select a type → click “Edit Type”.
  2. Click “Add Level” and select the role for the new level.
  3. Repeat for additional levels.
Classic example for “Reprimand”: Level 1 → Reprimand 1, Level 2 → Reprimand 2, Level 3 → Reprimand 3.
The number of levels serves as a cap: if a type has 3 levels, no more than 3 active punishments of this type can be issued to one person.

Renaming and Deletion

In the type editing screen, you have access to “Rename”, “Edit Level” (change the assigned role), and “Delete Level”.

Automation (Workflows)

Here you define rules such as “if an employee accumulates N punishments of a certain type — execute an automated action”.
  1. In the punishments sub-screen, click “Go to Automation”.
  2. Click “Add Rule”.
  3. “Configure Condition”: select the punishment type and trigger count (e.g. Warning × 3).
  4. “Add Action”:
    • “Remove Punishment” — reset the counter: removes all or N punishments of the selected type;
    • “Issue Punishment” — automatically issues a designated punishment for a specific duration (format 14d, 1mo, etc.).
  5. You can add multiple actions to a single rule.
  6. Click the green “Save” button.
A classic workflow is pre-filled as a draft: condition “3 × Warning”, actions — remove all Warnings + issue 1 Reprimand for 1 month. Simply save or customize it to your needs.

Suspensions

On the “Punishments” page, click “Configure Suspensions” and configure:
  • Suspension Role — role assigned to the suspended employee (usually restricting access to faction channels). Only one active suspension can exist per user at a time.
  • Suspension Channel — channel where explanatory statements and suspension logs are published.
How it works in practice:
  1. Leadership suspends an employee via /punishment → employee receives the suspension role and a DM with an explanation statement form.
  2. The employee has 48 hours to submit their response: text + up to 5 evidence files.
  3. The response is automatically posted to the suspension channel for leadership review.
  4. If a duration was set, the role is automatically removed upon expiration, and the employee is notified in DMs.

User Commands

  • /punishment @employee — leadership panel: issue punishment (type, reason, proof, duration) or suspend, view active records, remove records manually.
  • Duration format: 30m, 7d, 1mo, 1y, forever.
  • All actions are logged, and the employee receives a detailed DM notification.
