Setting Up Announcements

What is This?

A mass-broadcast system across community servers. Instead of manually copying announcements across dozens of channels, leadership sends a global broadcast with a single command:
The bot broadcasts the post to all linked department channels (plus optional custom channel IDs), optionally pinging designated roles, and delivers a dispatch delivery report to the logs channel.

How to Configure

  1. Open /configure → navigate to the “Announcements” page.
  2. Enable the module: set status menu to “Enabled”.
  3. In “Allowed Roles”, choose who can send global announcements (up to 25 roles).
  4. Select the announcements log channel to receive dispatch delivery reports.
  5. Click “Configure Channels”“Add Channel” and complete the modal:
    • “Name” — department name, e.g. MVD;
    • “Guild ID” — server ID where the channel resides;
    • “Channel ID” — text or announcement channel ID for publications;
    • “Comma-Separated Role IDs” — optional role IDs eligible for pings in “All” broadcasts.
You can connect up to 25 departments.

Server Owner Confirmation

If a channel is located on an external server, its owner will receive a bot DM with “Confirm” / “Decline” action buttons. Until approved, the channel entry is marked as “Pending”. Your own server channels are linked immediately.

How to Send an Announcement

  1. Run /announcement for departments.
  2. Choose a distribution mode:
    • “For all” — broadcast to all default department channels (+ optional role ping);
    • manual input — comma-separated list of channel IDs.
  3. Fill in the modal: announcement body (up to 1700 characters) and an optional image URL.
  4. The message publishes across all selected channels signed by the author as a global broadcast.
  5. A delivery log (successful destinations, failed delivery errors) is posted to the logs channel.
