Setting Up Modcalls

What is This?

Modcall is an emergency moderation dispatch system. When players encounter rule violations in-game or on Discord, they can dispatch moderators with a single command — from Discord or directly in-game:
  • /mod reason — dispatch via Discord;
  • :mod reason — dispatch in-game (via ER:LC Roblox chat).
The dispatch alert arrives on the central moderation hub server pinging active on-duty moderator roles. A moderator clicks “Answer Call”, and the caller receives an immediate DM confirming their call has been accepted. If no moderators are online, the bot pings a designated fallback role. For in-game dispatches: the moderator inputs their Roblox username, and the bot teleports them directly to the player on the live game server.

How to Configure

  1. Open /configure → navigate to the “Modcall Settings” page.
  2. Enable the module: set status menu to “Enabled”.
  3. Select on-duty moderator roles (up to 25) — these receive pings for new dispatches.
  4. Select a fallback role to ping if no moderators are on duty.
  5. Select the modcalls channel — for call dispatches and response logs.
  6. Click “Manage Servers”“Add Server” and specify the hub server ID.
As with other cross-server modules, the target server owner confirms via a DM prompt. Up to 25 servers can be linked.

Abuse Prevention

The module includes an administration suite (/modcall):
  • /modcall discord — block/unblock Discord users from sending dispatches, view blacklist;
  • /modcall roblox — block/unblock Roblox players by username or ID;
  • Global “Call Lock” — temporarily disable incoming modcalls network-wide.
Additionally, built-in rate limiting applies a 60-second cooldown per user.
Tip: Assign a broadly held fallback role (e.g. night duty roster) so emergency calls are never left unanswered during off-peak hours.
